Already there seem to be too many choices here on the menu screen... relax. If this is your first turn in the game, you certainly will not have a "VCR," or Visual Combat Recording, but that is the FIRST thing I would check, as it is also the most exciting element, I find, in the game. Some people may choose just to go right ot the messages area, which would actually tell you the outcome of the battle, but I like to watch it "live," for the dramatic element.
